MINI Positivi-TEA room with Emily Coxhead

JOIN MINI AT THE POSITIVI-TEA ROOM.

As part of MINI Big Love’s mission to make life brighter MINI has partnered with illustrator and Founder of The Happy News, Emily Coxhead, to design and launch the MINI Positivi-Tea Room at Westfields, White City (North Atrium).

Serving up nothing but good vibes on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th August, the immersive pop-up is a place to restore and recharge, with visitors treated to issues of Emily’s ‘The Happy Newspaper’ and complimentary tea.

Southampton parkrun people

SUCCESS AT THE FIRST BIG LOVE BOOTBANK.

Last month, we rocked up to Southampton parkrun for the grand unveiling of our Big Love Bootbank – a place for people to donate running gear to those that need it most. We were delighted with over 300 donations on its very first outing! Keep your eyes peeled for the Bootbank heading to a parkrun near you.

THE BIG P.E. TOUR WITH JOE WICKS.

Six cities, six days. That was our summer challenge for the nation’s favourite P.E. teacher, Joe Wicks. As a longstanding MINI Ambassador, Joe and his team jumped into a MINI Countryman to kickstart the P.E. with Joe's UK tour, supporting Children in Need with 100% of proceeds going towards the charity.

Nestled in the heart of Oxford, we planted our newest Tiny Forest beside Littlemore Mental Health Centre.At MINI, we've long had roots in Oxford – MINI Plant Oxford is a stone's throw from Littlemore. As one of the county's largest employers, we're all about celebrating the power of community. Planting a Tiny Forest in collaboration with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust provides an accessible and sustainable space for locals and wildlife alike.

WALK WITH JOE WICKS FOR CHILDREN IN NEED.

We’ve already worked with Joe Wicks and partnered with parkrun, so it’s about time the three of us got together to make even more people smile.

Powered by Big Love, you’re invited to join the nation’s favourite P.E. teacher at one of the parkwalks taking place around the country – to get you feeling good inside and out. The best bit? They’re all in aid of BBC Children in Need. So we can spread Big Love to those that need it most . Then, to top off his feel-good adventure, Joe will arrive in Salford on 18th November to walk a marathon in time to make it on the Children in Need live show on the same day. Go, Joe!

OUR BEST BITS FROM THE WALK WITH JOE TOUR.

We’ve been spreading yet more Big Love with the nation’s favourite P.E. teacher. The ‘Walk with Joe’ series invited people of all ages and fitness levels to join Joe Wicks at a nearby parkrun event – to get them walking, talking and experiencing the mental and physical benefits of exercise. As well as helping the 3,714 attendees feel fabulous, the events raised over £560,000 for BBC Children in Need. A massive MINI thanks to all those that supported the cause!

MINI BIG LOVE MONTH 2023.

After the success of our Big Love Weekend, we’re making it even, well, bigger. July will now be known as Big Love Month – giving our wonderful MINI Centres even more opportunities to make an even bigger difference and achieve their individual pledges.

We pledge to help with rewilding in the Scottish Highlands. We're committed to conservation and have partnered with the Trees for Life organisation.

We pledge to provide new backpacks with much needed school items with our Back to School Appeal. To help with this, we've partnered with Safe Families for Children.

We pledge to support Falkirk Foodbank who strive to help people in need. We'll help provide emergency food parcels which are delivered to members in our community.

We pledge to support Maggie’s, everyone’s home of cancer care. This will help raise funds for their information and advice work and the upkeep of their buildings and gardens.

We pledge to help improve conservation over the River Ribble catchment. We've partnered with the Ribble Rivers Trust to benefit our community, wildlife, and the environment.

We pledge to support Suffolk Animal Rescue with a boot full of food and supplies every month.

We pledge to care for our community. So, we are helping to turn the garden at Mentaur Day Opportunities Resource Centre into a safe and stimulating space for people to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

You might’ve worked out that here at MINI we’re paw-sitively passionate about pooches. Which is why we’re on a mission to help the nation’s dogs travel happier. Teaming up with Dogs Trust, we’ve trained staff at all of our retail centres to make sure our showrooms are welcoming, dog-friendly spaces.

BIG LOVE FOR THE PLANET.

Sustainability is part of MINI´s DNA (although in the late 1950s, that word as we know it didn’t exist to describe our conception). Our designer, Sir Alec Issigonis, boldly reimagined the car to overcome the challenge of a global oil crisis. Today, that same passion for doing more with less drives us forward as we rise to meet the challenges of a new generation.

We’re firmly on our way to an all-electric future, but that isn’t the start or end of our sustainability ambitions. We’re working on new solutions for CO2 reduction and constantly finding innovative ways to reuse and recycle through our material use and design. Every day is a chance to turn the car industry on its head, just as we first did back in ‘59.
